BioHi, I'm Amanda and I'm a grad student at the University of Florida. I'm working on getting my PhD in Biomedical Science. I'm the oldest of seven brothers and sisters, but they aren't all from the same marriage. I don't really update my LJ very often anymore, since I rarely have anything interesting going on. I spend most of my time working in the lab or taking classes, and when I'm not at school or work I'm either reading, goofing off or playing Dungeons and Dragons. I also like playing Magic: the Gathering, but I haven't built a deck in a long time. I mostly play limited now, which is a lot of fun.
Bah, I'm sure I can think of something more interesting to say about myself. I have two cats, Jewel and Annabelle, and they are the best. I'm a member of the Hoggetowne Tarot Guild, and I give readings at the local Medieval Faire every year. We use the money to buy ourselves dinner and to do charity stuff. I like doing arts and crafts, and I sell the jewelry I make at the Faire also. I use that money to buy roasted almonds and funnel cakes...hehe.
I love listening to music and singing along with the radio, which may or may not annoy my passengers. I enjoy being outside, but my coordination sucks so I don't really bike or play sports. Instead I like to walk, rollerblade or go canoeing.
I'm a perfectionist, so I suck at trying new things that I wont instantly be good at. Things have been changing a lot in my life recently though, and trying a few new things might be just what I need.
